Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Casual Security Officer to support multiple sites around Margate. You will manage access control, monitor CCTV, and respond to incidents while maintaining a welcoming environment. The role requires an SIA licence, DBS clearance, and the ability to travel between sites.

Ideal candidates will be flexible, calm under pressure, and committed to health and safety. A valid UK driving licence and own vehicle are preferred to support site coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK and pass an enhanced DBS and BS7858 clearance.
• A valid SIA Licence and relevant security experience.
• Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• A professional, reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in challenging situations.
• Awareness of security procedures and health & safety practices.
• Ability to travel between sites where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, welcoming and customer‑focused service to all site users.
• Control access to buildings and follow security procedures at all times.
• Monitor activity across sites, including CCTV where required.
• Conduct searches in line with site procedures where applicable.
• Patrol assigned areas and maintain a visible security presence.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents and security concerns.
• Accurately record and report incidents and activities.
• Support site teams in maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and compliance at all times.

About The Role:

Days of Working: This is a flexible, multi-site rolebased around Margate, where you will work across different locations to support operational needs such as sickness and absence. Shift patterns will vary depending on site requirements and operational needs.

As a Casual Security Officer at OCS, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment across a range of sites. You will be responsible for supporting operational teams with access control, monitoring activity and responding to incidents, ensuring that all visitors, staff and service users are treated in a professional and respectful manner.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Provide a professional, welcoming and customer‑focused service to all site users
