Job summary

LEO Academy Trust is seeking casual Minibus Drivers to support pupil and staff travel to offsite events. You will join a small driver team, ensuring safety and comfort for passengers and following the Trust's policies.

Responsibilities include transporting passengers, loading/unloading, daily vehicle checks, reporting faults, and covering for absent colleagues, while maintaining cleanliness and roadworthiness of minibuses.

Qualifications

• Patient, helpful and highly reliable individuals who enjoy working in a school environment.
• Geographical knowledge of the local area.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting children and staff to offsite events when required.
• Safely loading passengers and ensuring seatbelts are worn at all times.
• Maintaining safety, welfare and comfort of pupils and staff.
• Carrying out daily pre-journey checks and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Reporting vehicle defects or incidents to the Fleet Manager.
• Ensuring the minibus is clean and roadworthy before and after use.
• Adhering to the Driving For Work policy and safety protocols.
• Checking the first aid box and notifying the Fleet Manager when used.
• Covering for absent colleagues as needed.
