Job summary

Headway Adolescent Resources currently seeks Residential Child Care Workers for a new residential home on a casual basis. You will work with young people with challenging behaviour in a local children’s home, with flexible hours and no contractual obligation.

Applicants should have QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain clear records. A sleep-in allowance of £46 per night is paid as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with challenging young people, preferably in a residential setting
• Qualified to QCF level 3 in Children and Young People
• Ability to maintain clear, neat records and work on own initiative
• Good oral and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard childcare to help young people achieve the best possible outcomes
• Complete daily records to meet statutory and policy requirements
• Engage, motivate and support young people in a residential setting
