Job summary

Story Contracting Limited is seeking an experienced POS/Crane Controller to join our operations team on site. You will uphold the highest safety standards, manage exclusion zones around operating plant and work closely with operators, supervisors and customers to plan work.

The successful candidate will hold Personal Track Safety (PTS), COSS (min 2 years), and demonstrate strong knowledge of H&S regulations, Network Rail standards and Sentinel rules, plus excellent communication and attention to

The right candidate will be responsible for maintaining exclusion zones around operating plant, ensuring compliance with all Sentinel rules, Network Rail codes of practice and site‑specific requirements. You will work closely with operators, supervisors and customers to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently and to plan.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience in the rail industry

• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
• MC1, MC4 and CC3 competencies
