Casual Lecturer in Horticulture

Capel Manor College is seeking a Casual Lecturer in Horticulture to deliver high-quality teaching and support learning for students across Levels 1 to 3.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engaging lessons for a range of Horticulture subjects, including Amenity Horticulture, Plant Science, Propagation, Soil Science, Machinery, Landscaping and Sustainability.
• Assess student progress in line with examination body standards and provide constructive feedback.
• Plan and support practical activities in collaboration with practical instructors and technicians, ensuring health and safety regulations are met.
• Monitor student progress, set goals and motivate all students to stretch and challenge their learning.
• Consistently demonstrate the positive attitudes, values and behaviours expected of students.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or Level 3 qualification in horticulture or a related discipline (equivalent experience acceptable).
• Experience as a lecturer, teacher or relevant industry practitioner is welcomed.
• Passion for horticulture, ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students.
• Strong understanding of assessment and curriculum delivery across Levels 1 to 3.
• Availability for variable working hours (please indicate availability in application).
• Right to work in the UK (the college does not hold a sponsorship licence).
