Job summary

Brentford FC Community Sports Trust is seeking a Casual Assistant Gymnastics Coach to support preschool and general gymnastics sessions across Ealing, Hounslow & Richmond. The role involves flexible hours, weekend work, and helping deliver coaching at appropriate levels for children and young people.

You will work with the Gymnastics Lead and coaching team, develop relationships with participants and staff, and comply with safeguarding, DBS, and first aid requirements. DBS checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Gymnastics setting.
• Desire to undertake coaching badges.
• Safeguarding certificate.
• Emergency Aid certificate.
• Current DBS.
• Ability to travel to West London using own transport.

Responsibilities

• To assist the delivery of gymnastics sessions, with the flexibility to ensure all participants are offered coaching at a level appropriate to their ability and support needs.
• Develop relationships with participants, teaching staff, support workers/carers, parents and other key partners/stakeholders to ensure effective session delivery.
• To access all Quality Assurance staff training offered by the Trust during the term of employment.
• To ensure all equipment is available and well maintained and stored properly.
• Provide feedback to coaches, and parents where appropriate.
• Ensure they are aware of any medical issues concerning the participants.
• Actively promote relevant trust offers
• Act as a point of contact in emergency situations, providing assistance and guiding individuals to safety.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities and emergency services as necessary.
• Stay informed about safeguarding policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in training sessions related to safeguarding and emergency response.
• Report any safeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities or designated personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, concerns, and actions taken.
