What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you highly organised, detail-focused, and passionate about supporting school governance? Leeds Diocesan Learning Trust is looking for skilled and committed Governance Clerks to join our growing team supporting Local Academy Councils across our primary schools.

The Role

As a Governance Clerk, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of governance meetings. You'll support Local Academy Councils by:

  • Preparing and distributing agendas and meeting papers
  • Attending and accurately minuting council meetings (typically four per school per year)
  • Providing procedural and governance advice
  • Monitoring actions and ensuring compliance with Trust procedures.

You’ll work independently, flexibly around scheduled meetings, and liaise with school governors, the Chair, and our central team. This role is casual and perfect for those seeking meaningful work with flexibility.
