Job summary

West Sussex is hiring a Casual Chef to join the team at the Motor Circuit Café, Aerodrome Café and the NAAFI Wagon. You will prepare and serve hearty breakfasts and simple dishes in a lively environment, working closely with Front of House to ensure smooth service.

Ideal candidates will have a Level 1 or 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, stay calm under pressure, and bring a positive, team‑spirited attitude to daily busy shifts.

Qualifications

• Level 1 or 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
• Must be able to stay calm and organised during busy services.
• Positive, can-do attitude and genuine team spirit are essential.

Responsibilities

Salary National Minimum Wage (as applicable by age) - up to 14.24 per hour plus tips (including holiday pay)

Rate of pay:£13.68 (for under 21s) to £14.24 (for ages 21+) per hour plus tips. Rates are inclusive of holiday pay.

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic Casual Chef to join our vibrant catering team across the Motor Circuit Café, Aerodrome Café and the iconic NAAFI Wagon. You’ll be responsible for preparing and serving hearty breakfasts, classic favourites and simple, well executed dishes that keep our customers fuelled for the day ahead.

Working closely with our Front of House team, you’ll help deliver a smooth service, maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and ensure every customer leaves satisfied. This is a hands‑on role in a lively environment where energy, teamwork and pace are key.
