Job summary

Junior Adventures Group (JAG) is hiring a Casual After School Activity Leader for Ashford. Based at Ashford St Mary's CE School, the role runs Monday to Friday from 15:15 to 17:45, with a split shift structure allowing a break between sessions.

The pay is up to £12.71 per hour, and the contract is a casual arrangement designed for flexible, part-time hours. You’ll deliver engaging activities, supervise children aged 4–11, and help run Breakfast & After School Clubs with a focus on fun, safety,

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Experience in teaching, coaching, childcare, or youth work is a bonus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities like multi-sports, arts & crafts, group games, and creative play.
• Set up engaging play spaces and keep things safe, clean, and awesome.
• Supervise children with care and enthusiasm, ensuring every child feels welcome, safe, and included.
• Prepare snacks and manage sign-in/out processes with a friendly face and attention to detail.
• Work split shifts: 7:30–9:00am and 3:00–6:00pm, perfect for work-life balance.
• Be a team player who can also take the lead when needed.

At Junior Adventures Group, we’re not just childcare, we’re champions of fun! From football to face painting, scavenger hunts to snack time, you'll bring smiles, laughter, and energy to our Breakfast & After School Clubs for children aged 4–11.

This role is split shift, meaning you'll work mornings and afternoons, with a break in between (great for studying, hobbies, family, or even a nap!). You’ll also have the opportunity to increase your hours during Holiday Club seasons and Lunchtime Cover.
