Overview

We are currently recruiting multiple Production Operatives to join our post Cast (Finishing) department on the weekend and night shifts. The Finishing operator will work on high quality investment castings. This role requires good attention to details, precise hand work and the ability to follow detailed work instructions. The operator must be able to work castings into the correct dimensional standard while detecting and reworking defects. There is the use of hand grinders/linishers and the operation of CCM and U/T equipment. (Training will be provided on the job).

Responsibilities

• Finish investment castings to precise standards as per instructions
• Read, interpret, and strictly follow detailed work instructions
• Inspect all castings for defects
• Use precision tools to handle and re-work castings
• Ensure proper use of equipment to prevent injury or damage to castings
• Maintain a fast-paced workflow to meet production targets while upholding quality standards
• Record production data and report issues or deviations to the shift leader promptly
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
• Read and follow technical instructions and process documentation
• Demonstrate high manual dexterity and steady hands for precise manual tasks
• Use hand tools for detailed work such as belt and hand grinders (Pneumatic)
• Work with hot materials and adhere to strict safety procedures
• Understand equipment care and work with high value equipment
• Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
