Rate of Pay: £13.05- £17.24 per hour
The Cash Officer serves as a vital member of the Cashiers Team within Somerset Councils Exchequer Finance department. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and specialized cashiering functions. The post-holder acts as a local point of contact for financial queries, ensuring that all activities comply with the Councils Financial Management Regulations and administrative policies.
Advanced ability to manage data using financial systems and spreadsheets.
Knowledge of tax-related schemes like the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) is advantageous.
