Job summary

Impact Food Group is seeking a Cash & Banking Finance Assistant (Junior) to join our expanding team. You will support bank reconciliations, daily cash collection activities, and refunds processing across multiple school sites.

The role requires at least 1 year in finance, strong reconciliation abilities, and excellent attention to detail. You’ll interact with sites and suppliers, using Excel for data handling and reporting.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ proven experience in Finance.
• Strong ability to reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with ability to liaise across levels.

Responsibilities

• Run IFG bank reconciliations with monthly deadlines.
• Manage Cash Collections inbox daily and resolve queries.
• Act as primary contact for G4S site setup and cash collection arrangements.
• Coordinate with IFG sites to ensure timely cash collections and issue resolution.
• Process student catering refunds via BACS and payment platforms.
• Mobilise new sites for Cash collection and Opening Balances.
• Reconcile Adyen income daily and investigate discrepancies.
• Cheque banking on a weekly basis and record transactions accurately.

What you ll be Doing

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for IFG bank reconciliations, ensuring all reconciliations are completed by WD1 each month.
• Manage the Cash Collections inbox daily, responding to queries and resolving issues promptly.
• Primary contact for G4S, overseeing site setup, cash collection arrangements, and the resolution of failed or missed collections through effective liaison via phone and email.
• Liaise with IFG sites to ensure cash collections are completed in a timely manner, arranging collections where required and resolving any related issues.
• Process student catering refunds daily via BACS and payment platforms such as ParentPay and VMS.
• Responsible for the mobilisations of new sites regarding Cash collection & Opening Balances, ensuring a smooth implementation process.
• Reconcile Adyen income daily, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Bank cheques on a weekly basis and ensure accurate recording of transactions.

What are we looking for?

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 1 year's proven experience in Finance.
• Good reconciliation experience with the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships and resolve issues professionally at all levels of the organisation.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to use initiative and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt effectively within a fast-paced environment.
