A community-focused service provider in Bristol is looking for a Project Manager to support older and vulnerable clients in managing home adaptations and repairs. The role involves delivering project management services, providing advice on housing, and assisting clients with funding options. Strong judgement, empathy, and organisational skills are essential. The position offers a hybrid working model, allowing work at the office and from home, along with competitive benefits including pension schemes and generous holidays.
Role 1 (permanent contract): We are seeking a Project Manager - Client, ideally with experience supporting older and vulnerable people, to help ensure the smooth delivery of our project management services. Our work focuses solely on individual domestic projects, primarily for homeowners. In this role, you will provide high-quality advice on housing and independent living, helping clients across Bristol to repair or adapt their homes, expedite essential works that support hospital discharge, and explore suitable alternative housing where needed. You will also offer guidance on funding options. Working alongside our technical project managers who diagnose defects, design and specify works, and oversee delivery on site, you will help clients navigate the process with confidence. Strong judgement, a proactive approach, and an empathetic manner are just as important as solid organisational, numerical and IT skills.
Role 2 (12 months fixed term): We are seeking a Project Manager - Client, ideally with experience supporting older and vulnerable people, to help ensure the smooth delivery of our Making Space project. In this role, you will coordinate cases, providing information, advice, options, physically and emotionally supporting clients to declutter, allowing them to make informed decisions regarding issues relating to their home. Project Managers will support clients to achieve their chosen option in a timely and empathetic manner, collaborating with colleagues within and outside the organisation, with core ethos of providing trauma-informed, sustainable interventions that reduce risks, improve wellbeing, and support tenancy sustainment.
You will have frequent travel across the Bristol and B&NES areas to visit our clients' homes. We'd like people to work in our Bristol office three days a week and two days at home.
