Job summary

Tower Hamlets Youth Justice Service is seeking a Youth Justice Case Manager on a permanent, full-time basis (35 hours per week) based in London. You will build trust with children and families, deliver assessments, and craft tailored plans to meet individual needs, focusing on desistance, safeguarding, and public protection.

You will join a multidisciplinary team including speech and language therapists, CAMHS, police and education professionals, delivering high-quality, trauma-informed youth

Qualifications

• Strong relationship-building skills with children and families.
• Understanding of trauma-informed, restorative justice, and relational approaches.
• Experience of partnership working with multi-agency teams.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
• Two years of experience within a Youth Justice Service setting.
• Occasional Saturdays may be required.

About The Role

An opportunity has arisen to join Tower Hamlets and the City of London Youth Justice Service as a Youth Justice Case Manager on a permanent, full-time basis, 35 hours per week.

The relationships built with children and families are central to youth justice practice. We are seeking a Case Manager with excellent skills in engaging children and families from diverse backgrounds and building positive, trusting relationships.

As a Case Manager, you will:

• Work with children aged 10–17 who have received both community and custodial sentences from the Court.
• Undertake high-quality assessments and devise tailored intervention plans to meet each child’s individual needs.
• Focus on supporting desistance from offending, safeguarding children and protecting the public.
• Work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to deliver the best outcomes for Tower Hamlets and City of London children.

The Youth Justice Service is committed to Child First principles, with collaboration at the heart of everything we do. You will join a multi-disciplinary team that includes speech and language therapists, substance misuse practitioners, police officers, CAMHS clinicians, education officers and therapeutic practitioners.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Strong relationship-building skills with children and families.

• Experience of partnership working with multi-agency teams.

• Have at least two years experience of working within a Youth Justice Service setting
• You will be required to work occasional Saturdays.
