Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced network design expert in London to deliver carrier-grade solutions for leading clients. You will author HLD/LLD, review test plans, and drive automation initiatives while ensuring security and high availability across complex service-provider environments.

The role requires deep knowledge of routing, switching, and firewall architectures, plus hands-on experience with Nokia 7750, Fortinet FortiGate, and Cisco IOS platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience designing carrier grade network solutions for projects, complying with client design standards.
• Strong understanding of reliability/availability metrics and the commercial aspects of network solutions.
• Proven track record with service provider technologies for routing, switching and security.
• Ability to elicit business and technical requirements and produce technical artefacts (HLD/LLD).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of driving sign-offs and weekly updates.

Responsibilities

• Author high level and low level design documents to support the client’s network projects.
• Own software/hardware selection, perform bug scrubs and security vulnerability assessments.
• Drive platform improvements to enable automation and DevOps capabilities.
• Steer network security elements’ feature roadmap with partners for release planning and budgeting.
• Demonstrate experience with routers, switches and firewalls from multiple vendors in live environments.
