Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a Working Foreman – Carpenter to join a well-regarded contractor on social housing maintenance projects in Devon. The role focuses on carpentry-on-the-tools with a clear path toward supervisory responsibilities.

You will oversee planned maintenance, coordinate a small trades team, and travel between sites in the company van, delivering customer-focused service and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Good carpentry experience.
• Experience working in social housing.
• A keenness to progress your supervisory career.
• Full UK driving license.
• DBS will be required.

Responsibilities

• Foreman Day to Day: Various planned maintenance on domestic properties.
• Planned works on schools, maintenance, kitchens and bathrooms, etc.
• Mainly carpentry work but other trades as needed.
• Managing a small team of trades.
• Progressing your career in construction management.
• Travelling to different sites in the Devon work van.
