Job summary

Axis CLC Group is seeking a skilled Carpenter / Multi-Trade Operative to work with NHG on responsive repairs and planned works across London properties. You will perform carpentry, fire-door maintenance, locksmithing and glazing while delivering a resident-focused service emphasizing first-time fixes.

Ideal candidates have solid carpentry experience, multi-trade capabilities, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery required.
Experience in Fire-Door Maintenance and Fire Protection works.
Competence in locksmithing and/or glazing repairs; training can be provided.
Strong multi-trade skills: plastering, tiling, basic plumbing, decorating.
Full UK driving license; well-maintained tool kit.
Knowledge of social-housing repairs & maintenance.
Health & safety awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Carry out carpentry tasks including door hanging, skirting, architraves, kitchen fitting, and flooring.
Maintain fire doors and fire-stopping to a high standard.
Support other trades in repairs and maintenance tasks.
Record work in real time via Axis mobile app.
Collaborate with supervisors and admin to ensure smooth delivery.
Participate in out-of-hours or emergency callouts when required.
