A leading facilities management provider is seeking a Carpenter & Joiner to maintain joinery within secure premises across the UK. Responsibilities include ensuring health and safety standards, carrying out repairs, and maintaining workshop machines. Ideal candidates will have relevant joinery qualifications and experience in manual tool handling. Competitive salary and benefits, including career advancement opportunities, are offered.
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week (shift pattern Mon‑Thursday 7.30am‑16.00pm, Friday 7.30am‑15.00pm). On call, weekend work if needed as overtime. At Amey, we support our justice client, His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly. The Carpenter & Joiner plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.
