Job summary

Dewis Centre for Independent Living is seeking a part-time PA to support with domestic tasks at home and accompany the client into the community. The role includes personal care as required and regular Monday to Sunday availability, with hours typically 09:00–13:00 and some flexibility for annual leave coverage.

Pay is £15.25 per hour with double pay on bank holidays. A car driver with access to a vehicle is essential. DBS disclosure and reference checks will be completed before commencement.

Qualifications

• Reliable and caring individual to support with domestic tasks at home.
• Able to assist with personal care as needed.
• Clearance checks (DBS) and UK right to work verification required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking a meal for me
• Some personal care
• Cleaning my home
• Other odd jobs around the house as required; i.e. changing bedding
• Helping me put on my socks and shoes if needed due to knee problems
• Helping me to attend appointments
• Weekly shopping
• Accompany me to access social support
• Support to help maintain my garden, light sweeping and tidying
• Be reliable
• Previous experience desirable
• Encourage me to go out and care about my welfare
• Must have access to own vehicle or car driver
