Job summary

Beaumont Care Homes in Northern Ireland is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the busy kitchen team, supporting the Cook Manager in delivering nutritious, appetising meals for residents.

You will help with meal prep, maintain high hygiene standards, build friendly relationships with residents and colleagues, and contribute to a warm, homely dining experience. Flexible shifts and training are provided to support career development.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling.
• Ability to prepare meals and accommodate dietary needs.
• Team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare all meals within the home, paying consideration to special dietary requirements
• Ensure the general cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen area, equipment and appliances
• Develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff and other visitors to the home
• Regularly seek feedback from residents and staff in order to continually improve the level of service offered
• Receive, check and safely store kitchen deliveries
