Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant at the Tiled House Intermediate Care Facility. The role offers two part-time shifts (27h and 27.5h per week) with a pro rota salary around £26,016, and on-site work.

You will assist with meal preparation and serving, follow menus and hygiene guidelines, and support the kitchen team to ensure high standards for residents. A valid Food Hygiene qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience serving food within a large catering operation.
• Experience working directly with customers in person.
• Valid Food Hygiene qualification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsabilités

• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments.
• Follow menus, recipes, guidelines and catering procedures.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
• Operate catering equipment safely and correctly.
• Support the kitchen team with food preparation and general kitchen duties.
• Ensure Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Respond professionally to residents, visitors and colleagues.
• Assist with washing up, cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas.
• Report concerns to the supervising staff.
