Overview

A warm, friendly, and active family are seeking a reliable and proactive Housekeeper to help support the smooth running of their busy household. This role combines housekeeping duties with after‑school nanny responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Housekeeping tasks: meal preparation, laundry, ironing, changing beds and ensuring the home is kept clean, organised, and running efficiently.
• Animal care: walking the three dogs and helping with the chickens.
• Child care: collecting the children from school, driving them to after‑school clubs on Tuesdays, supporting homework, and assisting with dinner and bedtime routines.
• General support: engaging warmly and confidently with the active, polite children and maintaining a positive, nurturing household environment.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in housekeeping and nannying.
• Driving licence and a clean driving record; own car required.
• Up‑to‑date enhanced DBS certificate (for roles with children and the vulnerable).
• 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
• Minimum of two professional referees, one of whom must be the current or last employer and both must be immediately contactable.
• Proven reliability, initiative, longevity in previous roles and a genuine enthusiasm for family life.

Working Hours and Conditions

Hours of work: 12 pm – 9 pm, Monday – Friday.
Job start date: January 2026.
