Job description

Tradewind Recruitment is supporting a highly respected Liverpool secondary school in appointing a dedicated and proactive Caretaker to join their Site Team.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Estates Co‑ordinator and will play a key role in ensuring the school site is safe, secure, well‑maintained and ready for daily use. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, motivated and skilled individual who takes pride in creating a positive environment for students, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver general and routine caretaking duties
  • Carry out maintenance, repairs and planned safety checks
  • Provide porterage and set up venues for school events
  • Support staff and students with site‑related needs
  • Maintain site security and adhere to health & safety procedures
  • Work occasional additional hours to support school events

  • Have excellent organisational skills
  • Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Be self‑motivated, reliable and conscientious
  • Bring a range of practical skills suitable for the role
  • Have sound knowledge of health & safety guidance and legislation
