Job summary

St John Fisher Catholic College is seeking a motivated and proactive School Caretaker who will maintain the safety and suitability of our buildings and grounds, while supporting the safe transport of our learners. You will perform caretaking and maintenance tasks, carry out minor repairs, manage waste, and assist with opening and closing during holidays and events.

A full, valid UK driving licence with minibus entitlement is required.

Responsibilities

About This Role

We are looking for somebody who will be well motivated and proactive in their approach with a keen eye for detail and takes pride in their work. The successful candidate will undertake a range of caretaking, maintenance and minibus driving duties, ensuring the school buildings and grounds are safe, secure and fit for purpose, while supporting the safe transport of our learners.

Caretaking responsibilities will include carrying out duties in line with health and safety requirements, identifying and taking appropriate action where hazards are found, maintaining the school grounds, undertaking minor repairs, completing portage duties, and collecting and assembling waste. You will also support the day-to-day operational needs of the school.
