A local council in Wigan is seeking a Caretaker to maintain the cleanliness of its Markets. The role involves general cleaning, basic maintenance, and security responsibilities. This temporary position offers a salary between £24,796 - £25,583 per annum with a 37 hours per week commitment. Candidates should demonstrate cleaning experience and be flexible with work hours.

As a Caretaker you will contribute to the provision of the Economic Development Service across the borough and the general cleanliness of the borough’s Markets. You will carry out general cleaning of buildings and open spaces both manually and using machinery. You will also carry out minor repairs and maintenance to Market equipment and will assist in general upkeep of the Markets. You will assist with the security of the market sites and have key holding responsibilities. You will be involved in events that take place in the markets and town centres.
