Job summary

Castle School in Theale requires a proactive Caretaker to support the site team with maintaining grounds and school buildings. You will help provide security for the site and liaise with contractors, while balancing priorities as part of a busy school environment.

Applicants should be physically fit, flexible and able to work well in a team, with good communication to pupils, parents and staff. DBS checks and safeguarding procedures will be part of the recruitment process.

• Coordinate with School Business Manager and Premises Manager on priorities and tasks.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, pro-active Caretaker to work as part of our site team. You will assist in the maintenance of the school grounds and school buildings, provide security for the Theale site and liasie with contractors.

You will be able to juggle priorities, be flexible and have the ability to work within a team. You should be physically fit and able to work under your own initiative.

You will work under the direction of the School Business Manager and the Premises Manager. You will be required to work shifts to fit in with the needs of the school. You must have the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and other staff.
