Salary: £29,000 per annum (negotiable on experience)

What you'll be doing as Caretaker
This hands‑on role involves both preventative and reactive maintenance, occasional cleaning duties, and travel between sites. You will play a key part in maintaining high standards across all locations.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting routine inspections and minor repairs (doors, gates, lighting, plumbing, fit‑outs, metalwork, locksmithing).
- Maintaining car parks, fencing, signage, and access routes.
- Carrying out basic gardening and reporting hazards or deterioration.
- Tracking and reporting asset conditions.
- Recommending upgrades or replacements to the Facilities Manager.
- Providing access and oversight for external contractors.
- Ensuring work meets required standards and escalating issues as needed.
- Identifying risks and maintaining safe access routes.
- Ensuring compliance with RIDDOR, COSHH, and other relevant regulations.
- Conducting checks on water systems, lighting, fire safety, and maintain PPE and safety systems.
- Performing daily checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Maintaining vehicles and tools in line with operational standards.
- Recording maintenance activities using a CAFM system.
- Communicating site status and priorities with the Facilities and Construction teams.
- Conducting site audits, including brand standards, using company IT systems.
- Online timekeeping.
We're looking for a Caretaker with
- Previous experience in maintenance, caretaking, or a trade role.
- Basic knowledge of building systems, tools, and IT‑based maintenance systems.
- Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations (IOSH, NEBOSH, CSCS beneficial).
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
- Full, clean driving licence.
