Educators is seeking a dedicated caretaker for a school in Neath with a term-time only contract. The role covers opening/closing the premises, daily site checks, basic maintenance, and health and safety compliance.
Shift patterns alternate across weeks, with flexibility to cover daytime hours when required. The post starts 2nd November for the 2026-27 academic year, with a pro-rata salary of £22,832 and 37 hours across 39 weeks.

The role is a shift pattern Week one, - 6.30 am - 2.30 pm, Week two, 1.30 pm - 9.30 pm. However, these timings can vary during different times of the year.
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a dedicated, proactive and highly motivated Caretaker to play a key role in the effective day-to-day management of our school site.
The successful candidate will help ensure that our buildings and grounds are safe, secure, well maintained and presented to a high standard. We are looking for an individual who is practical, dependable and able to use their own initiative, with a strong commitment to health and safety and the wellbeing of our school community.
Flexibility is essential for this role. The successful candidate will be required, on occasions, to provide cover for other members of the site team, which may involve working during the daytime rather than the usual evening hours on Week 2.
Working arrangements will also vary during the summer months, when different start and finish times may be required. This may include an earlier start and earlier finish on Week 2, according to the operational needs of the school.
