We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive, organised, committed and enthusiastic caretaker to help develop and maintain our outstanding learning environment to support the smooth running of the school. We are seeking to recruit a colleague who can relate well to staff and children, effectively prioritise, and show initiative by seeking and actioning improvements to our school. We are looking for a team‑player who can act with integrity to make St Mark and All Saints Primary School a better place for the children, staff and community. Do you have the practical caretaking, gardening and maintenance skills to make a difference to our school environment?

St Mark and All Saints Primary School and Nursery is a one‑form entry Primary School within easy reach of Guildford and the A3. St Mark and All Saints is part of The Good Shepherd Trust Academy and has well‑resourced classrooms and a supportive staff team. We also have a Maternity Hub on site that is open 7 days a week, all year round.

You will need to be positive and professional as well as being flexible to the demands of the role. Please read the attached Job Pack carefully. CVs will not be accepted.

We are looking for an individual that:

  • Has a good level of maintenance experience involving minor carpentry and plumbing

  • Is able to work on own initiative and under pressure with a willingness to contribute to the continued improvement of our wonderful school

  • A four‑bedroom chalet bungalow, with a garden and garage. The property is an ideal family home and is a detached Chalet bungalow situated onsite. A nominal fee of 12.5% of basic salary will be charged for service occupancy and all household utility costs will be the responsibility of the individual.
  • 24 days holiday.
