A local secondary school in Chelmsford is looking for a dedicated Caretaker to ensure the smooth operation and security of school facilities. This permanent role involves key holding, managing emergencies, and overseeing deliveries. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and effective time and organizational skills. Contract: Permanent / Weeks paid 52.14
Hours: 37 hours a week/shift work
Salary: Scale 3, Point 5 - 6 £25,583 - £25,989 Depending on experience

We are seeking to appoint a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Caretaker to work within our dedicated Caretaking Team, to be responsible for the smooth and compliant running of our school’s facilities. A key part of this role will be site security, ensuring all buildings are secured in the evening.
There may also be the opportunity to step up for two of the days as an Assistant Premises Manager, Full details will be discussed at interview level.
Previous caretaking or site management experience is desirable.
