Job summary

A local community association in Castlederg seeks a caretaker to maintain the community centre. Responsibilities include cleaning, litter removal, and room setup.   • Sweep car park and pick up litter from outdoor areas.
  • Set up and pack down rooms according to booking diary.
  • Store and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
  • Check damage/security and report defects.

THE EMPLOYER IS: CHURCHTOWN COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION The Caretaker will be responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the Community Centre, including vacuuming, mopping, window cleaning, and maintaining toilets. Duties also involve sweeping the car park, removing litter and debris from outdoor areas, and setting up or packing down rooms according to the booking diary.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Upkeep of Community Centre, including but not limited to vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning glass/windows & cleaning toilets.
  • Sweep up car park, pick up litter & removal of all debris from paths, grassed areas, flowerbeds and all entrances/exits, including community centre, training unit and community allotments.
  • Set up and pack down of rooms according to booking diary, including but not limited to set up of chairs, tables, teas, coffee etc.
  • Ensure external rubbish is stored & disposed of appropriately.
  • Putting out bins in preparation for collections.
  • Check damage/security & report defects of building, furniture, fittings & equipment.
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures, policies are adhered to and equipment is maintained.
  • Ensure fire escape routes are clear at all times.
