About the client

I am a lady in my early twenties with a cheeky sense of humour. I have Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and Scoliosis. I’m a manual wheelchair user and live at home with my mum and pets. I am looking to recruit a female Personal Assistant to join my existing support group to enable me to engage with activities I enjoy, such as shopping, baking, crafting, going for walks, bowling, and the cinema.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support during support days.
• Assist with transfers using my hoist.
• Perform household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking.
• Attend hospital appointments.
• Support community activities, including visiting the cinema and other outings.
• Help push the wheelchair when out within the community.
• Additional tasks may be required on occasions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Female applicant only, aged 18+.
• Fit, healthy, and able to push a wheelchair.
• Out‑going personality with a patient and calming manner.
• Experience or knowledge of Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and Scoliosis is an advantage.
• Ability to work flexible hours; weekend, holiday, and sick leave work required.
• No sponsorship will be offered.

Availability

Permanent contract of 22 hours per week. Shift patterns may vary between 6‑8 hour shifts. Nights may include waking/sleeping shifts and could be 9 hours per night. Full flexibility: earliest start 6am, latest finish 9pm. Night shifts start at 9pm until 6am. Sleeping nights will be determined.

• £12.60 per hour daytime.
• £12.60 per hour waking night.
