We are seeking patient, reliable, and skilled Carers/Support Workers to support a 16-year-old young person with Autism Spectrum Disorder, severe learning disabilities, sensory processing difficulties and limited verbal communication. This role involves providing calm, structured, and person-centred support within his home and local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent 2:1 support in line with a structured and predictable routine
  • Use clear, calm communication and allow extended processing time
  • Support daily living tasks including personal care, dressing, and meal assistance
  • Promote emotional regulation using low‑arousal approaches and sensory‑based strategies
  • Follow Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and use approved physical intervention techniques when required for safety
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to all care plans
Requirements
  • PMVA trained.
  • Experience supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and behaviours of concern
  • Training in Autism, LD, PBS, physical intervention, epilepsy, and communication strategies (or willingness to complete training)
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in heightened situations
  • Strong understanding of sensory needs and anxiety‑reduction techniques
  • Reliable, compassionate, and able to work consistently within a team
