Orders of St. John Care Trust is seeking a Care Assistant at Watersmead, Westbury, to join a not-for-profit charity delivering person-centred care to residents.

You will support daily routines and personal care, work 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts from 8am to 8pm, and contribute to a warm, dignified living environment while benefiting from induction training and a strong benefits package.

Watersmead combines a tranquil setting with the convenience of a short walk into the town centre of Westbury. The home offers residential care to 50 residents in a homely setting.

Care Assistant

Location:Westbury

Pay rate: £13.67ph Monday to Friday, £14.07ph weekends

Contracted Hours:36 hours per week

Shift pattern:12 hour shifts, 8am to 8pm

Nestled below the famous White Horse, the historic market town of Westbury is home to Watersmead. This well-established care home is a traditional build which is perfectly located in a residential location, close to local amenities. A long-standing asset to the local community, Watersmead offers compassionate, person-centred residential, dementia and respite care for up to 50 residents.

We are looking for you to work as a care assistant making a real difference to our residents lives every day. Along with supporting daily routines and personal care (washing, bathing, supporting toilet use) we are looking for the right people to genuinely care for our residents and create a happy fulfilled life for them. Some days may be challenging but you will laugh, have fun and make lasting memories. You’ll become part of our extended family too, bringing kindness, exceptional care and dignity to our care homes.

We are looking for both experienced carers and those that are new to care to build our teams with diverse people who can bring all sorts of life experience to the job. We provide induction training and support, with ongoing development opportunities for you to really build a career with us. You will be a great communicator and able to build relationships and positive working and living environments. We’d love you to love your job.
