We are currently recruiting for a specialist independent school in the Newcastle area for a passionate and committed Careers and Employability Teacher to join their dedicated team. This opportunity allows you to make a real difference in the lives of young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and associated learning difficulties.
You will deliver high-quality careers and employability education across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting pupils to build confidence, resilience, and the skills they need for life beyond school.
The role goes beyond classroom teaching: you’ll help students explore future pathways, participate in enrichment activities, and develop personal and vocational skills that empower them to succeed in further education, training, or employment.
Our client school provides specialist education for pupils aged 10-18 with SEMH and associated learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and attachment‑related difficulties. The school offers a nurturing and structured environment where pupils receive tailored support to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Small class sizes, bespoke timetables, and a focus on wellbeing enable both students and staff to flourish. The school's ethos is built on compassion, understanding, and the belief that every young person deserves the chance to succeed.
