Job description

Scout Recruiting are seeking a passionate Careers and Employability Coach to provide expert career guidance and support to adult learners (19+). You will help students develop essential employability skills, run CV writing and interview preparation workshops, support job applications, and guide learners through university and apprenticeship pathways.

This role is located in Peterborough, is full time permanent and 37 hours a week. Salary is upto 27750 plus excellent non-salaried benefits. There is onsite parking available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalised career coaching and one-to-one guidance to students.
  • Lead workshops on CV writing, interview preparation, job searching, and professional networking.
  • Support students with university applications, UCAS forms, and personal statements.
  • Organise career-focused events, guest speakers, and employer visits.
  • Provide up-to-date information on employment opportunities, training, and further learning.
  • Record and track student progress, attendance, and feedback to improve employability services.
  • Promote volunteering, work experience, and job opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external organisations to enhance career support.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Level 3 qualification minimum; Level 2 English and Maths.
  • Experience in career guidance, employability coaching, or workshop delivery.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Education tools.
