Qualifications

  • Level 4 Diploma in Career Information and Advice required.
  • Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Advice preferred.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with employers to inspire students about work.
  • Motivate students in school and inform them about options.
  • Assess students' strengths and areas for development.
  • Support the Academy's safeguarding responsibilities.

Overview

Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy is an oversubscribed secondary academy with over 1400 students on roll at Key Stages 3-5. Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with employer and others to ensure the academy fulfils its duty to students to inspire them about the world of work
  • Inspire students to think about their future possibilities, to aim high, motivate them in school as well as beyond and ensure they are informed about their options
  • Assess students' current strengths and areas for development to enable them to acquire the skills valued by employers
  • Promote and actively support the Academy's responsibilities towards safeguarding
Qualifications
  • Level 4 Diploma in Career Information and Advice
  • Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Advice (or other relevant degree)
  • Consideration will be given to candidates currently working towards a Level 6
  • Successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check and suitable references
