Job summary

Housing 21 is seeking a Care Worker to join our friendly team in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will help residents with daily living, meals, personal care and ensuring their wellbeing is at the heart of the service.

Your role is based in our independent living schemes where residents have their own apartments with communal spaces. Full-time hours available at £13.48 per hour, equating to about £24,601 per annum for a 35-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks, shopping, cleaning and bill payments.
• Prepare meals, drinks and snacks as needed.
• Encourage residents to follow care plans.
• Provide personal care including morning/evening routines and medication support.
• Prioritise resident wellbeing and communicate progress to managers.

Job description

Tasks can include:

Key responsibilities

• Supporting with household and domestic tasks, such as laundry, shopping, cleaning, and financial transactions such as paying bills.
• Making meals, drinks and snacks where necessary.
• Encouraging and enabling residents to follow agreed care plans.
• Assisting residents with getting up in the morning, providing personal care including washing / bathing and dressing; helping with undressing and going to bed in the evening, as well as providing help and ensuring medication is taken as required.
• Putting resident wellbeing at the heart of the service, going the extra mile to ensure our residents can live their best lives and ensuring managers and key agencies are kept informed of progress.

Remuneration and benefits

• Are paid by the hour, not by the job. £13.48 per hour, full time equivalent £24,601 per annum (based on working 35 hours per week)
