Job summary

Esteem Care in Stranraer is recruiting bank care assistants to join our community-based team. You will provide support and personal care to people in their own homes, helping them stay safe and independent.

Shifts are varied, offering a flexible work/life balance and opportunities to participate in a wide range of activities. We value caring attitudes and empathy above formal qualifications, with full induction training, DBS clearance, and ongoing support offered.

Qualifications

• Experience and qualifications are desirable but your values and attitude toward caring for our clients are the most important thing.
• The role is community based and includes providing support and personal care in clients' own homes.
• Working hours are shift-based, offering a flexible work/life balance.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to service users in their own homes.
• Assist with meals and daily activities to promote independence.
• Involve service users in activities to support health and wellbeing (gardening, shopping trips, social occasions).
• No two days are the same in this role.

We are currently looking for bank staff members to join our team in various runs we have in Stranraer.

A general guide to the duties we provide, includes some support with personal care needs and preparing meals, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing such as gardening, shopping trips and social occasions. No two days will be the same!

Working in care can be flexible, as your hours are usually based on shift patterns, so a work/life balance that suits you is achievable.

Experience and qualifications are always desirable but for this role your values and attitude towards caring for our clients is the most important thing.

£23,000 plus per annum depending on call out (£15.35 per call out rate)
