BBS Recruitment is recruiting a Care Worker for a client in Walthamstow and surrounding areas. The role supports older people in a residential setting, including those living with dementia.

You will provide person-centred care, promote independence and help residents maintain dignity and wellbeing. Essential requirements include at least 6 months in residential care, Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care or NVQ Level 3 in Care, and DBS clearance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months experience in residential care for older people.
  • Experience supporting people living with dementia is preferred.
  • Knowledge of person-centred care approaches.
  • Ability to complete accurate care notes and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care to older people, including residents with dementia.
  • Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
  • Act as a Keyworker to ensure individual care needs and wellbeing are supported.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, relatives and other professionals.
  • Organise and participate in meaningful activities to promote wellbeing and independence.
  • Complete accurate daily records and reports as per procedures.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection control and confidentiality procedures.
  • Promote dignity, choice, independence and equality at all times.
  • Recognise and report changes in residents' condition.

We are currently recruiting for a Care Worker to work for our client based in Walthamstow and surrounding areas.

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and dedicated Care Worker to join our residential care team supporting older people, including individuals living with dementia. You will provide high-quality person-centred care, promote independence and help residents maintain their dignity, wellbeing and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities for Care Worker:
  • Provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care to older people, including residents living with dementia.
  • Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
  • Act as a Keyworker, ensuring individual care needs, preferences and wellbeing are appropriately supported.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, relatives and other professionals.
  • Organise and participate in meaningful activities that promote residents wellbeing and independence.
  • Complete accurate daily records, care notes and reports in line with care home procedures.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection control and confidentiality procedures.
  • Promote dignity, choice, independence and equality at all times.
  • Recognise and report any changes in residents physical, emotional or behavioural needs.
Essential Requirements for Care Worker:
  • Minimum 6 months experience working in residential care for older people, ideally with experience supporting people living with dementia.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care, NVQ Level 3 in Care/Social Care, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and understanding of dementia care and person-centred support.
  • Understanding of the basic principles of care .
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to write clear and accurate care reports and maintain appropriate records.
  • Experience or understanding of organising and supporting activities for residents.
  • Ability to provide personal care while maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS

Working hours for Care Worker: Various shifts available, 07.30am - 14.00pm, 14.30 - 21.30pm, 21.15pm-07.15am
