Job summary

The Clare School in Norwich is seeking enthusiastic Care Assistants to support pupils with a wide range of learning, physical, sensory and medical needs.

You will help with toileting, changing and continence management, walking support, and feeding including gastrostomy feeding. Full training provided and no prior experience required. Hours are 08:45 to 15:45 daily, term time plus 1 week, with flexible days to be negotiated. Safeguarding and welfare are core priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils with toileting, cleaning and continence management and ensure pupils are comfortable and treated with dignity.
• Support postural management, including walking, standing frames and physiotherapy activities.
• Assist with feeding and drinking, including gastrostomy feeding, under supervision and training provided.

The Clare School is looking to appoint Care Team Members to join our warm and welcoming school, which was graded as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted at its last inspection.

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and caring Care Assistants who will support a whole range of children and young people throughout the school. Pupils at The Clare School have a wide range of learning, physical, sensory, communication and medical needs.

You will assist pupils who have reduced continence control with their toileting, cleaning and changing, and at all times ensuring that the pupils are comfortable and treated with dignity. You will also help pupils with their postural management such as supporting them with walking, using standing frames and supporting and encouraging them to participate in their physiotherapy routines. Part of this role will involve helping pupils with their feeding and drinking, including gastrostomy feeding. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
