Job summary

A dedicated care agency in Inverness is seeking a TLC Support Worker to assist older individuals with personal care and support. Ideal candidates will hold or be prepared to obtain an SVQ 3 in Social Care, possess basic computer skills, and be committed to teamwork. This role includes a variety of responsibilities aimed at improving the quality of life for service users and involves working flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Possess or be prepared to achieve SVQ 3 in Social Care.
  • Basic computer literacy skills required for e-learning courses.
  • Ability to comply with all Health and Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key worker for service users, compile and monitor care plans.
  • Assist service users with personal and intimate care.
  • Promote mental and physical activity as outlined in care plans.
  • Liaise with health professionals during illness or end of life.
  • Maintain the service user's physical environment and belongings.
  • Answer emergency calls and greet visitors professionally.
  • Participate in meetings and work on a rota including weekends.

Job Title - TLC Support Worker
Pay Rate - £18-20 PH
Location: Inverness

Are you a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled individual looking for a rewarding role supporting older people? CrossReach is seeking a motivated Care Worker to join our dedicated, multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Key Worker Responsibilities: Acting as a key worker for designated service users, which involves compiling, monitoring, and reviewing care plans in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Direct Personal Care: Assisting service users with personal and intimate care, as well as ensuring they can access and use necessary aids and personal equipment.
  • Health & Wellness: Promoting both mental and physical activity as detailed in individual care plans. You will also assist with monitoring and reviewing nutritional needs.
  • Liaison & Reporting: Working closely with appropriate health professionals during times of illness or at the end of life. You will be responsible for reading and writing reports in line with CrossReach policy and SSSC codes of conduct.
  • Environment & Belongings: Maintaining the service user's physical environment and ensuring their clothing and effects are well-maintained and personalised.
  • General Duties: Answering emergency bells, the door, and the telephone professionally, and greeting visitors.
  • Teamwork: Participating in staff and service users meetings and working on a rota basis that includes weekend and evening work.
  • Christian Ethos: Having respect for all aspects of Christian worship and facilitating service users to attend Christian worship (or worship of choice as required by the role).
Qualifications
  • Ideally, you will possess an SVQ 3 in Social Care.
  • If you do not have an SVQ 3, you must be prepared to achieve this qualification within a specified period of time.
Experience & Skills
  • Basic computer literacy skills are essential, including the use of Microsoft Office and the internet, for completing mandatory e-learning courses.
  • The ability to comply with all Health and Safety requirements and financial procedures.
  • A commitment to undertaking necessary training to fulfil the requirements of the role.
