From £13.06 per hour | Flexible Shifts Available (AM & PM)

Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? We're urgently seeking dedicated Support and Personal Care Workers to join our care team supporting Hertfordshire County Council's Residential and Supported Living Units.

As a trusted recruitment partner, Guidant Global provides high-quality care staff to local councils. We're looking for experienced care assistants who can help individuals live as independently as possible, offering support to those with physical and mental health challenges.

You’ll be working with service users who may be recovering from illness or surgery, living with learning disabilities, dementia, sensory impairments, epilepsy, or other complex needs. Your role will be vital in helping them maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life.

What we're looking for:
  • Compassionate, reliable individuals with a positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills and a respectful approach
  • Experience in personal care and domestic support
  • Ability to work flexibly across 30-40 hours per week
  • Access to transport to travel across Hertfordshire (including Hoddesdon, Watford, Hemel, St Albans, and more)
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting with personal hygiene, dressing, and toileting
  • Assisting with mobility and physical therapy
  • Administering medication (training provided)
  • Preparing meals and supporting with feeding
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Escorting service users to appointments or activities
  • Carrying out domestic tasks such as cleaning and shopping
  • Writing handover notes and reporting concerns appropriately
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months UK care experience
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Commitment to health & safety and safeguarding
  • Physically fit and emotionally resilient
  • Willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS checks and join the Update Service
