What will you be doing?
- Support people to gain their independence, helping them to regain confidence to reach their goals and retain skills.
- Support individuals to make choices around their personal care and needs, encouraging good nutrition and hydration and prompt socialisation and engagement in activities.
- Ensure clear and accurate documentation is completed, and any concerns are reported to the Shift Leader or Nurse on duty.
- Enrich customers to feel safe, secure and noticed.
- Support them to be themselves and encourage their comfort while being respectful of their living space.
- Take part in arts, crafts and stimulating activities.
- Help customers to get washed and dressed.
- Provide manual handling support and personal care.
- Provide medication support in a timely manner.
- Liaise with health professionals.
- Report any concerns or incidents to senior members of the team.
- Arrange and take part in activities with members of the community.
- Work 20‑30 hours per week, with some weekend working. Week 1: 2 × 10‑hour night shifts. Week 2: 3 × 10‑hour night shifts.
Unfortunately, this role does not meet the legal requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. We cannot accept individuals on full‑time sponsorship who are seeking this as a second job or as their main job, as care is no longer classified as a Skilled Worker occupation.
About you
- As we offer full hands‑on training with relevant certifications, you don't have to have experience. BUT you do need to have the want and will to make individuals feel seen and cared for.
- Minimum 2.5 weeks induction training and a further 2‑4 weeks 'Buddy scheme'.
- Role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate, at our cost.
