Job description

We’re looking for kind-hearted people to join us as Care Professionals at Home Instead in Hamilton and surrounding areas.

To join us as a Care Professional, you don’t need any previous experience. It may be that you have cared for a vulnerable loved one, or that you are a charitable person that is always looking to help others. That kind of experience gives you the rare skills we are seeking at Home Instead – compassion, understanding and patience. Our service is not merely task driven but focused on wellbeing and meeting our client’s individual needs

Day to day, you will visit clients in their own home and support them with community activities. This may include attending clubs, lunches, appointments and perhaps doing some shopping. You may help our clients with their personal care including washing and dressing, preparing a hot home cooked meal, and managing medication. You may also assist with light household tasks. But that’s not why our client’s eyes will light up when you arrive. That’ll be because of what you bring to their lives; human connection, reassurance, wellbeing and hopefully some fun!

So, if you tick these boxes and are looking for a life changing job that’s makes a positive on peoples lives, you’ve got everything you need to start training as a Professional Care Worker with us.

The Care pro we are looking for will ideally be available to work back shift hours and be able to commit to every second weekend.

We support you and your wellbeing, and as a valued employee, you’ll have access to Home Instead benefits page - our new employee benefits platform which offers shopping discounts and cashback from over 800 retailers, as well as access to our employee assistance program to support you with your mental and physical health.

We make it easy for you to care for your clients - bringing care into the 21st Century by using technology that reduces administrative tasks, improves outcomes and enables you to focus on what matters most - looking after the people we care for.

  • Paid Training

  • Mileage is paid at 30p per mile.
  • Great opportunity to earn extra income through overtime and our Carer referral scheme - up to £500 per referral!

  • Care experience is NOT necessary but is beneficial, but you must be aged at least 18
  • You’ll need a full UK driving licence with use of a car

We are an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
