Job summary

Home Instead in Salford is seeking Care Assistants to provide compassionate care in clients’ homes. You will build supportive relationships, assist with daily activities, and accompany clients to appointments or errands.

Role requires driving and access to a vehicle with Class A Business Insurance. Induction, ongoing training, and wellbeing support are provided, with opportunities for long-term career progression in a valued team.

Qualifications

• Formal care experience is not required. Experience is also welcomed.
• It is ESSENTIAL to be a driver with access to a vehicle insured in your name with Class A Business Insurance.
• It is ESSENTIAL to have GCSE level English or equivalent.

Important Details Before Applying

• Evening & Weekend Availability: We require availability for at least 2 evenings a week and alternate weekends.


• Core Hours: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm and 4:45 pm - 9:30 pm, with potential for additional hours.


• Driver’s License: It’s essential to be a driver with access to a personal vehicle insured with Class A Business Insurance to fulfill this role.

Job Description

Care Assistant responsibilities:

Being a Care Professional is a highly rewarding career where no two days are the same! With minimum 1 hour care visits and client matching, you have the time to provide high quality, person-focused care.

Duties can include:

• Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit


• Personal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent


• Help with everyday tasks such as; meal preparation and light housework


• Accompanying to appointments or shopping.

IMPORTANT TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLICATION- Our Care Assistants are required to work at least 2 evenings and alternative weekends. Core hours are between 8am- 1pm and 4.45pm - 9.30pm, although there is potential to increase hours beyond these times.

You must be over 18.
