Overview

Care Practitioner Nights. Oak Springs Care Home

£12.26 per hour • 8pm - 8am shifts • 4 nights per week on a rolling rota, including some weekend working

Join our exceptional team at Oak Springs Care Home in Wavertree, a luxurious, purpose-built residential care home. At Oak Springs, we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of residential, respite, and dementia care for older people.

Our stunning 74-bed home is thoughtfully designed across three floors, with state-of-the-art facilities including music rooms, a beauty salon, cozy lounges, and serene courtyard spaces. We are committed to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community where residents can thrive, celebrating individuality and enhancing quality of life in meaningful ways.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting residents with personal care, hygiene, and bedtime routines in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Providing reassurance and companionship to residents, especially those who may need additional support during the night.
  • Monitoring and responding to residents' needs, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the night.
  • Undertaking light domestic tasks to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the home.
  • Assisting with the administration of care plans and reporting any concerns or changes in residents' well-being.
  • Participating in relevant training to enhance your skills and contribute to the team’s expertise.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth handovers and consistent, person-centred care for our residents.

  • *Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However, overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’. Advertised pay rate is for shifts worked from 1st April 2025.

  • A genuine interest in health and social care – previous experience is a plus, but not essential, as training will be provided.

  • Strong observation skills and the ability to respond calmly and confidently to varied situations.
