From 1 December 2025, our updated Pay and Reward package will take effect, introducing a new approach to recognising and rewarding roles across the Council. As part of this change, the salary for this role will be adjusted to a pay range of £31,537 to £36,363 (pro‑rata for part‑time).

All new starters will begin at the bottom of the pay band, reflecting our commitment to equity and consistency. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a duty care manager to join our Integrated Learning Disability Team who work across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) locality. Full‑time roles are available.

What We’re Looking For
  • Recent experience of working in a social care setting that involves direct contact with members of the public.
  • NVQ II in social care (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to advocate for adults, signposting and providing information and guidance.
  • A dedication to ensuring people with a learning disability live the best possible lives.
What You Can Expect To Be Doing
  • Support residents over the age of 18 across the BCP area, focusing on their needs.
  • Work with carers to understand and support their impact on the residents’ lives.
  • Provide strength‑based, self‑directed support, commissioning, monitoring and reviewing to meet individuals’ assessed needs.
  • Visit BCP residents within various settings, carrying out regular assessments.
  • Hold a UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

When you join this team, you will be based at Hillcrest (BH10 4EU) two days per week, with the ability to work flexibly across locations in the BCP area and from home.

Our Team

We are a community‑based team that supports adults across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole. As an integrated team we have colleagues from a variety of professions, all working toward the same goal of maximising independence and enabling people to lead the best life they can.

The team has a range of social care experience, including qualified social workers, newly qualified ASYE social workers, and experienced unqualified social care staff.
