Job summary

CareTech Community Services is seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant for Roborough House in the UK. You will join a dedicated team, support daily meal preparation, maintain high kitchen hygiene, and assist with stock and dishwashing.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience preferred – but not essential as full training will be given.
• Able to work under pressure and to a tight schedule.
• Enthusiastic and positive approach.
• Flexible and able to work during peak times including weekends, bank holidays and school holidays.
• NVQ Level 2 in catering – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand food safety and hygiene.
• Stock dining area – setting tables.
• Light cleaning of dining and kitchen areas.
• Wash dishes and cutlery.
• Vegetable preparation.
• Cover sickness and annual leave entitlements.
• Operate the dishwasher - loading/unloading, mopping floors.
