St Philips Care Group in Scotland is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Cook and provide high quality meals for residents.

You will help with meal preparation, serving, dining room setup, washing up, and maintaining hygiene in line with policies. Training provided and opportunities to develop catering skills.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience or willingness to learn in a care home setting.

Responsibilities

• Accept reasonable duties as delegated by the Cook/Assistant Cook.
• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and beverages.
• Prepare the dining room for the serving of meals.
• Clear tables and ensure crockery and cutlery are washed and put away.
• Work in accordance with home policies.
• Carry out kitchen duties to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
• Report any issues to the Cook or Care Centre Manager.
• Attend mandatory and in-house training as required.
• Understand COSHH issues and maintain cleanliness and records.
